
Gators Return Home to Host Charleston Southern Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Florida returns to the Stephen C. O'Connell Center following its first road trip of the season to host Charleston Southern, its second Big South Conference opponent of the 2014-15 campaign, on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m.
The contest will be a race to victory number three, as both the Gators and the Buccaneers enter the contest with 2-1 records.
Florida will be meeting Charleston Southern for the second time on the hardwood. The Gators earned an 83-59 win at the Gator Holiday Classic in Gainesville on Dec. 20, 2011.

Stat Watch
· Sharp shooting could play a major role in Tuesday's game and the edge might go to the Gators, despite the fact that both Florida and Charleston Southern are averaging 80.3 and 78.7 points per game, respectively.
· Florida holds the edge in accuracy, as they are shooting 50.8% from the field, 29.3% from behind the arc and 75.8% from the line. Charleston Southern is 43% from the field, 20.7% from long distance and 65.3% on freebies.
Last Time Out
· After trailing by as many as 15 points in the first half, UF battled back against St. John's and held the lead twice in the second half, but struggled to remain on top and fell to the Red Storm, 72-66.
· Redshirt junior Carlie Needles logged 37 minutes and scored 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including 4-of-5 from long range. Redshirt senior Kayla Lewis chipped in with 10 points and anchored the rebounding effort, grabbing nine boards.
· Charleston Southern was handed its first loss of the season at Wofford, 55-48. Sophomore Tatum Jarvis led the Bucs with 14 points, while senior Alise Karlsone and junior Monique Maximilien pulled down six rebounds apiece.
Home Court Advantage
· Following a 91-46 rout of Longwood on Nov. 17, UF improved to 24-1 in its last 25 home contests against non-conference opponents under head coach Amanda Butler.
Big South Success
· Florida is 1-0 this season versus Big South squads following the win over Longwood, and is 14-2 all-time under Butler.
Taking Advantage at the Charity Stripe
· The Gators check in at No. 2 in the SEC in free-throw percentage, going 47-for-62 (.758). Over three games, UF has connected on 33-of-39 (.846) freebies in the second half, highlighted by 10 in a row in the final 2:05 of the season-opening win over Jacksonville.
Close to Double-Double
· Redshirt senior Kayla Lewis was just shy of becoming the first Gator this season to reach double-figures in points and rebounds when she scored 10 points and notched a season-high nine boards at St. John's.
Identical Figures
· Not only is redshirt junior Carlie Needles hitting .667 (10-for-15) from the field, she is 8-for-12 (.667) on her three-point attempts to put her first in the SEC in three-point percentage.
Bench Production
· One of the emerging trends for Florida on the young season has been bench performance, as the squad holds a commanding 85-27 edge on the scoreboard. The Gators' bench has outscored all three of their opponents: Jacksonville (38-17), Longwood (30-9) and St. John's (17-1).
