Nine Gators to Participate in Fall Commencement

Fall graduation ceremonies take place on the University of Florida campus this weekend, with nine Gator student-athletes participating in commencement events. UF's fall commencement ceremonies take place Saturday, Dec. 20.
Mack Brown (Lithonia, Ga.), Clay Burton (Venice, Fla.), Max Garcia (Norcross, Ga.), Hunter Joyer (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), Michael McNeely (Clearwater, Fla.), A.J. Mobley (Fayetteville, Ga.), Ryan Parrish (Lakeland, Fla.), Valdez Showers (Detroit, Mich.), and Francisco Velez (St. Augustine, Fla.) all will participate in this tomorrow's commencement, just weeks before UF takes on East Carolina in the Birmingham Bowl.
In addition, 18 other student-athletes will be walking across the stage on Saturday. Athletically, the 2014 Fall class has had five Gators who have been a part of nine NCAA title teams and 14 on 17 SEC Championship squads.
