GAINESVILLE, Florida - University of Florida sophomore striker Savannah Jordan is among the 16 semifinalists for the 2014 Missouri Athletic Club's (MAC) Hermann Trophy.

About the MAC Hermann Trophy
The MAC Hermann Trophy is the highest individual intercollegiate award presented annually during a January banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
Jordan is one of two sophomores among the 16 semifinalists, as the remaining 14 are juniors or seniors. Virginia's Morgan Brian, recipient of the 2013 MAC Hermann Trophy, is again among the semifinalists.
Jordan in 2014:
· All-Southeastern Conference first-team selection for second consecutive year
· SEC points (46) and goals (19) leader, scoring goals in 15 matches, including two at New Mexico, versus Mississippi State, Tennessee and Mercer. Pair of goals versus Mercer was 11th multiple goal match of career
· Tied for seventh among the nation's goal scorers through NCAA Quarterfinal play
· Career total of 41 goals is second only to Gator Great Abby Wambach's freshman and sophomore total of 42 goals
· Top 10 on two Gator career charts after two seasons – No. 6 goals (41) and No. 7 points (93)
· Three-time SEC Offensive Player of the Week
· College Sports Madness National Player of Week (Oct. 6) and Capital One Cup Primetime Performer of the Week (Oct. 26)
· Part of U.S. roster for FIFA Women's Under-20 World Cup in August, starting first and final matches of group play and appeared in quarterfinal match

NCAA Division I coaches that are NSCAA College Services members may vote for their top choices Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Thursday, Dec. 11 within myNSCAA on NSCAA.com. Starting today, soccer fans can also let their collective voice be heard by voting for their favorite player on the MAC's website hosted by LockerDome.
Six finalists (three men, three women) will be named finalists in mid-December. The winners are announced at the banquet on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015.
Gators in 2014:
Florida's 2014 season ended Friday in NCAA Quarterfinal play at Stanford. The two teams played to a 2-2 double overtime tie with the Cardinal advancing the NCAA College Cup with a 4-3 penalty kick advantage.
The Gators turned in a 17-4-2 record, finished second in the SEC and was a No. 2 region seed for 2014 NCAA play. Five Gators – Jordan, Tessa Andujar, Claire Falknor, Havana Solaun and Christen Westphal – were named All-SEC.
