
Connecticut Tabbed as Site for 2015 BIG EAST Tournament

The Florida Gators lacrosse team no longer has to wait to see where it will play at for its first-ever BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Tournament. On Tuesday, the conference announced the Connecticut Huskies will host the BIG EAST's season-ending tournament. .
Play is scheduled to begin with the semifinals on Thursday, April 30, and the championship game will be on Saturday, May 2, at the George. J. Sherman-Family Sports Complex on Connecticut's campus.
The tournament will mark the second trip to Storrs, Connecticut, in 2015 for the Gators, as UF is scheduled to play the Huskies on Saturday, April 18, at noon.
Florida opens its inaugural season as an affiliate member of the BIG EAST on Saturday, Feb. 7, at home against the University of North Carolina. The team will play its first conference contest on the road on Sunday, March 22, against a familiar foe, Vanderbilt, who joined Florida in the BIG EAST, following the dissolution of the American Lacrosse Conference last season.
