
Wilbekin Selected to Final Watch List for 2014 Bob Cousy Award

Senior Scottie Wilbekin has been selected to the final watch list for the 2014 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award, as announced by the Naismath Memorial Basktball Hall of Fame today.
The original watch list of 80 candidates was narrowed down to the group of 23 by a nationally based committee. Fans will be able to vote for the top point guard in college basketball beginning tomorrow, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. through Mar. 10 via the Bob Cousy Award website. The winner of the 2014 Bob Cousy Award will be presented at the Hall of Fame's Class Announcement on Championship Monday in North Texas as part of the NCAA Final Four weekend.
Wilbekin is averaging 13.5 points per game with a 39.6 field goal percentage and a 74.8 free throw percentage. Florida's floor general was also named SEC Player of the Week this morning after his performances against Tennessee and No. 18 Kentucky last week where he dished eight assists and had no turnovers in 71 minutes of action. Wilbekin recorded a career-high of 21 points against the Volunteers and then topped that with a 23-point output at Rupp Arena.
