Gators Sit at No. 5 and 7 in Polls

The University of Florida lacrosse team has notched No. 5 and No. 7 rankings in the Brine Media Poll and the IWLCA Poll, respectively. Florida was ranked No. 4 in the Brine Media preseason poll and holds steady at No. 7 in the IWLCA rankings. Florida is fresh off of wins over James Madison, 21-8, and Cincinnati, 19-6, which wrapped up a four-game home stand for the Gators.
Among the teams remaining on Florida's schedule, there are five teams present in both the Brine Media Poll and IWLCA Poll: No. 2/3 Syracuse, No. 4/4 Northwestern, No. 7/5 Loyola, No. 8/8 Penn State and No. 13/15 Stony Brook, while Johns Hopkins is ranked No. 20 in the Brine Media Poll.
Florida returns to action on Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m., when the Gators take on No. 13/15 Stony Brook in Stony Brook, N.Y.
