Gators Remain Nation's Top Team

For the third consecutive week, the Gators men's basketball team sits atop the Associated Press and Coaches' Poll as the nation's number one squad. Florida holds a 19-5 record at the No. 1 ranking, this year marking just the second time UF has held the top spot for multiple weeks in a season.
With wins over South Carolina and Kentucky last week, Florida became the first team in SEC history to go 18-0 and is just the 17th team in Division I history to go undefeated in a conference schedule of 18+ games.
The Gators are on a program-record 23-game winning streak while they also closed out the regular season unbeaten at home for the second-straight year to make it 32 in a row. As a team, Florida is hitting 46.3 percent from the floor while averaging 71.5 points and 36 rebounds per game.
Florida will travel to Atlanta for the 2014 SEC Tournament where the Gators have a 38-45 record all-time while going an impressive 23-14 under Billy Donovan. UF is set to play the winner of the Missouri/Texas A&M match-up on Friday at 1 p.m.
