Johnson's total of 39.825 versus West Virginia last Friday is the nation's top all-around performance since Georgia's Courtney Kupets turned in a 39.85 in 2009. It also sets the Florida record with Kytra Hunter (2013) and Kristen Guise (1996) sharing the previous record of 39.80.
Friday's win was her first all-around victory since March 16, 2012 and the sixth of her career. Johnson equaled or set her collegiate best in each event Friday, including winning vault (9.95) and uneven bars (9.975) titles. She used scores of 9.95 to take second in the balance beam and floor exercise competition.
The SEC Gymnast of the Week is the fourth of Johnson's career and first since she twice received the honor in 2012. She is the third different Gator to receive the honor in 2014, with Hunter picking up the first of the season and sharing the third with Bridget Sloan. Four consecutive SEC Gymnast of the Week honors went to Sloan. A Gator has been named to one of the three SEC weekly honors eight of the nine weeks of 2014 campaign.
Next up, the No. 3 Gators finish regular-season action Friday with a duel meet at Missouri. Meet time is set for 7:30 p.m. ET in the Hearnes Center.
The Florida-Missouri duel airs tape-delayed on Cox Sports Television (CST) (Gainesville/Ocala channel 1259) on March 22 at noon and again on March 23 at 11 p.m. ET.
Streaming video of Friday's meet can be found on the Missouri Network and live scoring can be found on GatorZone.com.
