Gators Earn No. 5 Seed in SEC Tournament, Earn First Round Bye

The Gators earned the No. 5 seed in the 2014 Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament held at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.
The 14-team, 13-game tournament begins on Wed., March 5 and runs through Sun., March 9.
Florida finished in sole possession of fifth place in the final regular-season standings.
The Gators received a first-round bye and will play their inaugural game in the tournament on Thursday, March 6 at 2:30 p.m. ET, against the winner of the game between No. 12-seed Missouri and No. 13-seed Mississippi State.
Florida lost to Missouri, 81-76, on Feb. 20 in Gainesville and defeated Mississippi State, 82-72, on Jan. 2 in Gainesville.
On the line:
The winner of the 13-game tournament will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Every Game Televised:
· FSN/SPSO continue their dedication on to SEC events by televising all first, second and third round games.
· ESPNU will televise both semifinal games.
· The championship game will again be televised on ESPN.
