
Florida soccer plays host to USF Saturday in Spring Season action

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Spring soccer action continues Saturday when Florida faces South Florida. Match time is set for 3 p.m. at the team's practice field located at the UF Lacrosse/Soccer Facility. The facility is located on Hull Road across from the Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium. Admission is free and gates open at 2 p.m.
Fans can enter the Donald R. Dizney Stadium and walk to the end of the concourse to gain access to the Florida Soccer Practice Field. Saturday's spring match is B.Y.O.C. – Bring Your Own Chair – as the practice field does not contain stands.
The teams played to a 1-1 2OT tie when they met in Tampa in 2013 regular-season action. The Bulls ended their season with a scoreless tie versus UCF in American Athletic Conference semifinal action. UCF advanced to the final with a 5-3 penalty kicks advantage. Florida shared the 2013 Southeastern Conference title with Texas A&M with identical 9-2 league records. UF lost 2-1 to Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament final. Florida reached the NCAA Second Round in 2013.
