
Gators Place SEC-Record Eight Men's Basketball Players on SEC Academic Honor Roll

The Florida men's basketball team has set yet another SEC record for its 2013-14 performance, this time in the classroom, as the Gators placed an SEC-record eight men's players on this year's list. The winter SEC Academic Honor Roll was announced by the SEC office on Friday.
The group is led by three-time honorees Will Yeguete and Patric Young. Young has also been named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the third time and an Academic All-American. The Gators' other repeat winner is walk-on mechanical engineering major Jacob Kurtz.
First-time honorees are Billy Donovan, Dorian Finney-Smith, Michael Frazier II, Dillon Graham and DeVon Walker. Frazier and Walker previously earned recognition on the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll during their freshman season.
The Gators have had an SEC-best 69 Academic Honor Roll selections during Billy Donovan's tenure. This marks the eighth time since 1997 that UF has had at least five players on the list and the 14th time with at least three.
