Three Gators Selected to 2014 NCAA Men's Singles and Doubles Championships

Three Florida men's tennis players – Florent Diep, Elliott Orkin and Gordon Watson – will represent the Gators at the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Singles and Doubles Championships.

Three Florida men's tennis players – Florent Diep, Elliott Orkin and Gordon Watson – will represent the Gators at the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Singles and Doubles Championships.

Diep earned a spot in the 64-player NCAA singles draw as Orkin and Watson will team up in the 32-team doubles field.

The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 21-26 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia.

Florent Diepat-large singles selection

·         Ranked as high as No. 49 in ITA singles rankings

·         Led the Gators with 27 singles wins in his senior campaign

·         Recorded a stellar 10 singles wins over ITA-ranked opponents through the 2013‐14 season

Elliott Orkin & Gordon Watson – at-large doubles selection

·         Ranked as high as No. 9 in the ITA doubles rankings

·         Recorded a team-best 16 wins as a doubles pair this year

·         Defeated four top-25 ITA ranked doubles opponents this season
