Transfer John Egbunu Set to Attend Florida

The University of Florida men's basketball team has picked up a second incoming transfer this offseason, adding John Egbunu. Egbunu comes to UF after one season at USF, where he averaged 7.4 points and 6.2 rebounds and earned a place on the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team.
Egbunu is scheduled to begin class at UF in the Summer B term, which begins Monday, June 30. He will sit out the 2014-15 season under NCAA transfer regulations and have three years of eligibility remaining when he resumes competing in 2015-16.

Ranked 72nd by ESPN and seventh overall at his position nationally as a high school recruit, possessing a 40-inch vertical… A strong rim defender who is able to run the floor… Played at Georgia Elite Christian in Atlanta, Ga. before moving to Florida and Fort Walton Beach for his junior and senior seasons.
