
Florida Women's Golf Travels to Oklahoma for 2014 NCAA Central Regional

The road to the 2014 NCAA Championship begins tomorrow for the Florida women's golf team.
For the second-straight season, the No. 7 seed Gators will travel to Oklahoma for the NCAA Central Regional Championship. The top eight teams from each regional will advance to the 2014 NCAA Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, May 20-23.
UF placed fourth in the 2013 NCAA Central Regional to earn their 24th NCAA Championship appearance. Then-senior Mia Piccio paced the Gators with a top-10 finish at a final 2-under (214). Current Gator senior Elcin Ulu carded a notable 3-over for the tournament to snag a top-20 individual finish.
The Gators hold two NCAA Championship titles: 1985 and 1986.
Course Information:
The tournament is being held at the par-72, 6,200-yard Karsten Creek Golf Club, May 8-10.
Head Coach Emily Glaser Says: “It's a great golf course this week and a deep regional field. We are looking forward to the challenge.
“The goal is clear this week. We are excited to compete.”

Friday: Tee times starting at 8:30 a.m., 18 holes
Saturday: Tee times starting at 8:30 a.m., 18 holes
Sunday: Tee times starting at 8:30 a.m., 18 holes

The Lineup:
· Maria Torres: Earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors last week, Torres tops the Florida five.
· Sarah Schober: Schober earned a top-20 finish in her first SEC Championship last month and takes the Oklahoma course with confidence.
· Karolina Vlckova: Vlckova serves as a mainstay in the Florida lineup as she has competed in every event in her first year donning the Orange and Blue.
· Elcin Ulu: Ulu finished in the top-20 individually in the 2013 NCAA Central Regional and will be the lone senior representing UF this week in Oklahoma.
· Camilla Hedberg: Rounding out the Gator lineup, Hedberg looks to rebound from her SEC Championship performance at Karsten Golf Club this week.
SEC Showdown: Florida will share the golf course with three conference opponents: Arkansas, Alabama and LSU.
