
Gators Set for Rematch with Baylor in WCWS Semifinals

Seeded fifth in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, the University of Florida softball team will meet Baylor on Sunday in the semifinals of the Women's College World Series. Game 1 is set for 1 p.m. ET (noon CT) on ESPN, with Game 2 (if Baylor wins Game 1) to follow at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT) on ESPNU. Florida has shut out the Bears (11-0, 5 innings on Thursday) and Oregon (4-0 on Friday) to begin its time in Oklahoma City.
WGGG (1230-AM) will provide radio coverage, with Adam Schick (play-by-play) and Megan Bush (analysis) on the call. In addition, live stats will be available through Gametracker on the GatorZone.com schedule page.
A Look at the Gators' Postseason History
The Gators are 78-56 (.582) all-time in postseason games: 22-24 (.478) in the SEC Tournament and 56-32 (.636) in the NCAA Tournament.
Gator Bites—Setting Up the WCWS Matchup
Florida is 52-12 (15-9 SEC), while Baylor comes in at 49-15 (13-5 Big12)… The Lady Bears lead the all-time series, 6-3.
UF vs. WCWS Field
The Orange and Blue were 3-3 in the regular season against the WCWS field… During the regular season, Florida faced Alabama three times (1-2), Florida State twice (1-1) and Oregon once (1-0).
Gators Shut Out Lady Bears and Ducks to Open WCWS
Florida's 11-0 win on Thursday was Baylor's first double-digit defeat in exactly three years since a 14-2 (5 innings) loss to Georgia on May 29, 2011… The Orange and Blue defeated top-seed Oregon 4-0 on Friday, as Hannah Rogers beat the Ducks for the second time this season (also: 2-1, 8 innings, Feb. 28 at Kissimmee, Fla.).
