The Florida-Florida State rivalry -- regardless of sport -- always stirs emotion.
I've never asked him why. I assume to settle a bet. That's the logical reason that first popped into my head, so I'm sticking with it.
Gators fan Chad Gullett recently asked on Facebook what Florida's overall record against Florida State is. Not just football. Not just basketball. He wanted to know the Gators' head-to-head record against the Seminoles in every sport.
Not all sports qualify. The Gators have a women's lacrosse team, FSU doesn't. And while they compete in the same tournaments and meets, the schools don't go head-to-head in golf, track and cross country.
However, the UF-FSU rivalry plays out in other sports annually, and thanks to Florida's sports information staff, Chad got his answer.
You can have it too. Might come in handy the next time you are trying to settle a squabble between a Gator and Seminole:
