McGee Caps Off Florida's USA Outdoors Run in 1500m Finals Sunday

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Senior middle-distance All-American and NCAA 1500m runner-up Cory McGee capped off the 2014 USA Outdoor Championships Sunday for the Gators in Sacramento with a seventh-place finish in finals of the 1500m, crossing in 4:12.16.
McGee closed out the five day meet on the Sacramento State campus, which was highlighted by a runner-up finish from junior Ciarra Brewer in the triple jump on Friday.
Junior sprinter Dedric Dukes, who qualified for the 200m semis with his 20.46 Saturday, lowered his mark in the semifinal to a wind-aided 20.21 Sunday morning -- second in the field -- but opted out of afternoon finals of the event.
In other action across the globe, Gator junior quartermiler Hugh Graham, Jr. clocked a season-best 45.43 to finish third in finals of the 400m at the Jamaica National Senior Trials at National Stadium in Kingston.
