
UF Baseball's Logan Shore Collects Freshman All-American Honors

Florida right-hander Logan Shore was named to the 2014 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team chosen by Collegiate Baseball newspaper on Wednesday.
He becomes the 10th Freshman All-American in head coach Kevin O'Sullivan's seven-year tenure, joining Josh Adams (2008), Preston Tucker (2009), Nolan Fontana (2010), Brian Johnson (2010), Austin Maddox (2010), Hudson Randall (2010), Mike Zunino (2010), Karsten Whitson (2011) and Casey Turgeon (2012).
The SEC Freshman of the Year and a third-team All-American from Louisville Slugger, Shore was 7-4 with a team-low 2.16 ERA and led the Orange and Blue with 68 strikeouts in 95.2 innings. A first-team All-SEC selection, the Coon Rapids, Minn., native went 7-1 in league play with a 2.08 ERA, tying for the lead in conference victories.
