Joakim Noah Named First-Team All-NBA
Wednesday, June 4, 2014 | Men's Basketball
Joakim Noah added first-team All-NBA honors to his extensive list of honors for the 2013-14 season. He becomes the first Gator to earn first-team honors and the third to make the All-NBA list, along with Al Horford (2011) and David Lee (2013), who were both third-team honorees.
Noah, the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year, ranked sixth in the NBA in rebounding (11.3), and NBA.com notes that he was one of three players to average at least 10 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals this season.
In voting by a 125-member media panel, Noah trailed only league MVP Kevin Durant and LeBron James in first-team votes.
