
Florida's Jillian Graff is SEC Co-Offensive Soccer Player of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The first double-goal match of senior Jillian Graff's Florida career earned her a share of the season's first Southeastern Conference Offensive Soccer Player of the Week honor, the league office announced Monday morning.

Graff scored the first two goals of the Gators' 2014 season, helping UF to a 3-0 win over Miami on Aug. 22. Her first goal at 7:47 is the fourth quickest season opening goal for the Gators and the fastest since 1999. To score, Graff deflected a clearance attempt and then put the ball from a yard. She put in a 10-yard shot in the 65th minute to become the sixth Gator to open a season with a double-goal effort.
In Sunday's 2-0 win versus South Florida, Graff provided an assist on the game-winning goal.
Preseason No. 8 Florida begins a six-match road stretch next weekend in the state of Oklahoma. The weekend opens at Oklahoma on Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. ET and the match airs on Fox College Sports Atlantic. Then the Gators face Oklahoma State on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. ET.
