Battle 4 Atlantis Bracket Revealed; Gators Open vs. Georgetown
Tuesday, August 5, 2014 | Men's Basketball
The Florida Gators learned on Tuesday that they would face Georgetown in the opening round of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. The event will be held Nov. 26-28 at the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas.
The Florida-Georgetown matchup is paired up with the Wisconsin-UAB showdown, with the winning and losing teams from those two games respectively moving on to face one another. All teams in the event will play three games in three days.
Florida holds an all-time 2-2 record vs. Georgetown, but most recently played the first half of a game on the USS Bataan in the Navy-Marine Corps Classic to kick off the 2012-13 season, but the game was called at halftime due to court condensation with UF leading, 27-23.
