
Spangler Previews Saturday's Mountain Dew Invitational

Entries closed Monday night for Saturday's 26th annual Mountain Dew Invitational at the Mark Bostic Golf Course on Florida's campus. Twenty-seven men's teams are slated to compete in the 8K race, which begins at 7:55 a.m. On the women's side, 29 schools are scheduled to run a 5K at 8:30 a.m.
On Monday, Florida assistant track and cross country coach Paul Spangler spoke with the media about Saturday's race.
Following the two collegiate races, four high school races will be run. Overall, more than 100 colleges and high schools are expected to compete during the invitational. Admission and parking to the race is free. Parking will be available at the University Of Florida Levin College Of Law, located at SW 2nd Avenue and Village Drive.
7:55 a.m. University/College/Open – Men 8K
8:30 a.m. University/College/Open – Women 5K
9:05 a.m. Varsity HS Boys – 5000 meters
9:35 a.m. Varsity HS Girls – 5000 meters
10:05 a.m. Junior Varsity HS Boys – 5000 meters
10:35 a.m. Junior Varsity HS Girls – 5000 meters
