Head Coach Rhonda Faehn met with the media as part of UF's All Sports Press Conference on Monday.
No. 3 Florida opened the 2015 season Sunday at Ball State, taking a 196.925-193.70 win. Faehn talks about the Gators' performance in the season opener and about the injuries suffered at the meet by junior All-American Bridget Sloan and senior Jamie Shisler.
This Friday, Florida plays host to No. 21 Auburn for the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams. Meet time is set for 6:45 p.m. in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
The Florida-Auburn dual is the SEC Network's first live gymnastics meet. The new 24/7 sports network launched in August and operated by ESPN, is the source for a total of 21 league gymnastics meets – including 10 live events. Friday's dual between the Gators and the Tigers begins at 7 p.m. ET on the SEC Network (Gainesville/Ocala Cox cable channel 68 or 1068).
