ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Florida women's tennis team had their singles run at the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championships end on Sunday afternoon in Athens, Ga.
An all-Gator match up in the quarterfinals saw senior Belinda Woolcock defeat teammate Brooke Austin in a three set match, 6-2, 2-6, 6-0. Junior Kourtney Keegan advanced to the semifinals with a win over Yolimar Ogando of Miami, 6-3, 4-5, inj. Anna Danilina fell in the quarterfinals to the No. 6-ranked Stephanie Wagner of Miami, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.
The semifinals saw both Gators fall in their respective matches. Woolcock was defeated by Wagner, 6-2, 6-4 and Keegan fell to Georgia's Brinson, 7-6(6), 6-3.
In doubles action, UF opted to play the all-Gator semifinal match once they return to Gainesville.
