Kuhlman, Woolcock Take USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Title

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida women's tennis team participated in all-Gator matches on Monday afternoon to decide the winner of the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championships doubles title. Junior Belinda Woolcock and sophomore Josie Kuhlman were able to come out on top at the Ring Tennis Complex.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida women's tennis team participated in all-Gator matches on Monday afternoon to decide the winner of the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championships doubles title. Junior Belinda Woolcock and sophomore Josie Kuhlman were able to come out on top at the Ring Tennis Complex.

In the semifinal round, Kuhlman and Woolcock defeated Peggy Porter and Spencer Liang, 6-0, 6-3. Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan won their semifinal match against Anna Danilina and Brianna Morgan, 6-0, 6-1 to advance to the finals.

The final round was a back and forth match with each of the pairs taking a set. Kuhlman and Woolcock were able to win the match against Austin and Keegan, 3-6, 6-0, 14-12.

With the victory, the Gator tandem have received an automatic berth into the National Indoor Championships that are held in Flushing, N.Y.
