
Florida’s national championship softball and gymnastics teams to visit Governor Scott

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - University of Florida's latest national championship teams head to Tallahassee Monday, Oct. 5 to celebrate the 2015 season with a lunch at the Florida Governor's Mansion.
The Gator's softball and gymnastics teams were invited by Governor Rick Scott to the state capital. The teams will be at the Florida Governor's Mansion at 11 a.m. to meet Governor Scott and be recognized for winning this year's NCAA titles.
The governor and his family will enjoy lunch with the group from Gainesville.
The Florida softball team beat Michigan in a three game series to win their second-straight national championship title.
Gator gymnastics used the slimmest winning margin in the NCAA Championships' 34-year history to capture their third consecutive national crown.
The Gators will finish their trip to Tallahassee by going to the Capitol Building.
