ANNAPOLIS, Md. – While the Gators get ready for Friday's season opener at Navy, Dorian Finney-Smith picked up another preseason accolade with a preseason first-team All-SEC nod from the conference's coaches.
The media already honored Finney-Smith with second-team preseason honors, while the Karl Malone Award named the redshirt senior to its watch list for the award, given to the best power forward in the nation.
Finney-Smith led the Gators in scoring (13.1 ppg) and rebounding (6.2 rpg) last season and figures to be one of the key producers and leaders on the team again in head coach Mike White's first season at the helm.
