
Sydney Morang, Sydney Searcy and Delicia Washington Commit to Gators

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Prep standouts Sydney Morang, Sydney Searcy and Delicia Washington each signed a National Letter of Intent, officially announcing their commitment to attend the University of Florida, women's basketball head coach Amanda Butler shared.

Sydney Morang (5-10, Wing, New Providence, N.J / New Providence High School)
- 2013-14 and 2014-15 NJ.com Union County Conference Player of the Year
- 2014-15 NJ.com First Team All-Junior
- 2014-15 First Team Union County Conference All-Stars, voted by UCC coaches
- Junior Year (2014-15): averaged 22.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.2 steals, 5.3 made FTs
- Sophomore Year (2013-14): averaged 19.9 points, 9.4 rebounds
- 2013-14 First Team All-Group 1, reported by nj.com
- 2013-14 First Team All-Sophomore/Freshman, reported by nj.com
- Topped the 1,000-career point milestone during her sophomore year, fast player in school history to reach the plateau
- Left-handed
- Entering senior year: 1,800 points, 747 rebounds, 229 steals, 181 assists

- St. Augustine Record's 2015 Co-Player of the Year
- 2014, 2015 First Team Florida Association of Basketball Coaches (FABC) 6A All-State
- Junior Year (2014-15): averaged 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 steals and four assists
- Enters senior season with 1,496 career points
- Coached by the legendary Sherri Anthony at Nease HS
- FGB 15U won the 2013 Deep South championship
- Only other girl's basketball players from St. John's county to play collegiately at an SEC school are Gator great Steffi Sorensen and Kelly Stevenson
- Verbally committed to UF as a sophomore
- 2014 All-First Coast Team

- Sophomore Year (2013-14): averaged 27.5 points – leading area scorer
- Also a very talented softball player, batting a career .447 with an on-base percentage of .526
