FLUSHING, N.Y. – Belinda Woolcock advanced to the singles semifinals at the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Friday.
Woolcock led the Gators in singles action taking down fellow-SEC foe Frances Altick of Vanderbilt, 6-3, 6-4. In the other singles matches, Stephanie Wagner of Miami defeated Brooke Austin in a three-set marathon match, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4. Kourtney Keegan was also halted in the back draw by the No. 1 overall seed Danielle Collins of Virginia, 6-2, 7-5.
The Gators had a tough day on the doubles courts falling in both of their quarterfinal matches. The No. 54-ranked duo of Josie Kuhlman and Woolcock met some tough competition in the No. 9-ranked Kentucky tandem of Adachi and Sutijiada, 6-2, 6-4. Austin and Keegan were defeated by Dartmouth's Ng and Mathis, 7-6(5), 1-6, 10-7.

The singles draw features 32 of the nation's elite college tennis players. 11 of the top 15 ranked players in the nation will be competing at the Indoor Championships, headlined by UF's No. 2-ranked Austin. Doubles action will see 20 doubles pairings, including five in the top 15, including the No. 1-ranked Gator pairing of Austin and Keegan.
