LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla.- The University of Florida women's tennis team will be represented in both the singles and doubles finals at the 2015 Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic.
Gator junior Spencer Liang advanced to the singles final with two straight set victories on Saturday. The Potomac, Md. Native defeated Carla Tur Mari of Oklahoma State in the semifinals, 6-3, 6-0 to advance to the final round tomorrow. In other singles action, Anna Danilina fell in a three set match against Princeton's Katrine Steffensen, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1.
The doubles courts saw senior Brianna Morgan and Danilina move on to the doubles final with a victory over Memphis's Sohn and Wind, 8-7(5). Peggy Porter and Liang fell to a solid Oklahoma State tandem of Babic and Tur Mari, 8-4.
