Gators Win SEC Tournament:
Florida claimed a 1-0 home win over Western Michigan to advance to NCAA Second Round action for the 15th time in its 19 post-season appearances. The only goal of the match came early in the second half. Freshman Briana Solis won the ball at the center circle and then headed toward the Bronco goal. Before she reached the 18-yard box, two WMU defenders converged on her but she was able to touch it off a defender to Savannah Jordan making a mirroring run on her left. Jordan's left-footed shot scored from 17-yards at the far post.
Jordan's goal was her 22nd for 2015, which matches her career-high season total set as a freshman in 2013. Her career total now stands at 63 – which stands fourth on Florida's and SEC career charts. Jordan is the first Gator to move into the program's top four for career goals in 14 seasons as Florida's two leaders – Abby Wambach (96) and Andi Sellers (71) - both finished their collegiate careers in 2001.
