University of Florida Ranks High in Recent Graduation Success Rates
Wednesday, November 4, 2015 | General
Three University of Florida athletic teams scored a perfect 100 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) and the overall athletics program produced an 81 percent GSR in data released from the NCAA on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Seven Gator athletics programs turned in a rate tied or above the national Division I average and all teams at Florida have a GSR at or above 67%.
The NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) is a six-year proportion of student-athletes who graduated versus those who entered Florida on athletics aid. Each team has a yearly calculated GSR based on four (4) years of data. Student-athletes must graduate in order to affect the GSR positively.
“The NCAA Graduation Success Rate released today shows that many Gator student-athletes are achieving one of our primary missions – receiving a University of Florida degree,” said Jeremy Foley, Athletics Director of the University of Florida.
The most recent Graduation Success Rates are based on the four entering freshmen classes in Division I from 2005-06 through 2008-09.
