GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- With a successful fall ball schedule in the rearview mirror, the Florida lacrosse team has its sights on the upcoming 2016 season. With that, Florida's 2016 captains were revealed this week, as elected by the team to guide the Gators on yet another championship run this upcoming season.
Seniors Sydney DuPre, Nicole Graziano, Lauren Lea and Devon Schneider will serve as Florida's four captains.
Florida boasts the No. 1 and No. 2 recruits in the country in Sydney Pirreca and Lindsey Ronbeck, who will join a veteran Gators' squad that captured both the regular season and BIG EAST Tournament crowns in UF's first season in the conference.
The Orange and Blue will kick off the spring at the 2016 U.S. Lacrosse Spring Premiere with a clash against the U.S. National Team at IMG Academy in Bradenton Jan. 9. Tickets are $8 for a single game in advance, while a weekend pass is $15 in advance. Children 6 and under are free.
The 2016 regular season gets under way Feb. 6 with three straight home matches to open the campaign at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.

RECAPPING FALL BALL
The Gators are one week out of the conclusion of the 2015 fall ball season, where the Orange and Blue played a loaded schedule. Florida started in Baltimore with alternating duels against Loyola and Virginia before heading to Annapolis for games against the U.S. National Team and Navy.
Florida hosted Sunshine State opponents Stetson and Jacksonville in its lacrosse invitational before wrapping up the season in North Carolina for Duke's fall tournament with match-ups against Vanderbilt, JMU, UNC, Michigan and Duke.
Perhaps one of the highlights of the fall was UF's tilt with the U.S. National Team, featuring the Gators' own first-year assistant coach Becca Block and junior Mollie Stevens.
