GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Gator fans and Florida softball faithful will have the opportunity to go inside the University of Florida softball program over the next few weeks. The Program: Florida created by FloSoftball, debuted its three-part series on Dec. 2, with the next two episodes scheduled to air on Dec. 9 and 23.
Fans can expect to learn about Head Coach Tim Walton's baseball career, how he got into coaching softball and how he created a winning culture at the University of Florida. In addition, FloSoftball sat down with assistant coach Jennifer Rocha, Gator Greats Lauren Haeger and Hannah Rogers, and some current members of the UF softball team.
The interviews covered the trials and tribulations leading up to the program's first NCAA Championship in 2014 and Florida's title defense in 2015. Plus, Coach Walton and his current Gators give a sneak peek at what lies ahead for this upcoming season.
Under Walton's watch, Florida has won two NCAA Championships, four SEC Championships, earned 29 NFCA All-America honors, seven Women's College World Series appearances and has captured a NCAA Tournament berth every year of his career thus far.
