Florida Remains No. 2 Following Outing at National Indoors

Skillman, N.J. – The University of Florida women's tennis team reached the semifinal round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship and thus remains the No. 2 team in the country in the most recent ITA rankings.
Freshman Josie Kuhlman earned a spot in the top five, jumping six spots from No. 9 to No. 3. Kuhlman is currently undefeated in dual match singles (3-0) and is 11-4 overall versus ranked opponents. Fellow rookie Brooke Austin joins her in the top 10, holding steady at No. 6. Rounding out the Gators in the top 20 is junior Brianna Morgan at No. 13. Sophomore Belinda Woolcock improved to a career-high No. 27 from her initial ranking of No. 43. Sophomore Kourtney Keegan and freshman Peggy Porter are ranked No. 44 and No. 91 respectively.
In doubles, Austin and Keegan bumped up to No. 4, while Kuhlman and Porter improved to No. 9. Austin is also ranked with Morgan at No. 47.
The Gators continue their nonconference dual match season in Tallahassee on Wednesday, Feb. 18, when they visit No. 34 Florida State at 4 p.m.
