NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seniors Nora Barry and Shannon Gilroy were named to the Tewaaraton Award watch list, presented by Under Armour, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Thursday.
Gilroy, a 2014 Tewaaraton Finalist, enters this weekend tied for sixth nationally with 14 goals. The senior midfielder is on the verge of becoming Florida's all-time leading goal scorer. She enters Saturday's game against Dartmouth with 196 career goals, just eight shy of surpassing Kitty Cullen (2010-13) for first place.
Additionally, Gilroy leads the Gators in points (17) and draw controls (15), while scooping up four ground balls and causing two turnovers.
Barry, who became the fifth Gator to surpass 100 career goals earlier this season, remains one of the nation's top two-way players. Through four games this year, the midfielder is tied for fourth on the squad with six goals, while adding six draw controls, two ground balls and one caused turnover.

The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
On April 23, the field of 50 will be narrowed to 25 men's and 25 women's nominees. Nominees can be players on the watch lists or players not on the watch lists, effectively allowing for a third round of additions. Five men's and five women's finalists will be announced on May 7 and invited to the ceremony. The Tewaaraton Award Ceremony will be held in Washington, D.C., on May 28, 2015, at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian.
