Gator Coaches 2015 Speaking Tour Announced

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Let the introductions begin.
First-year Gators head coach Jim McElwain is scheduled to make his first stop on the Gators' annual spring speaking tour when he talks to the Gainesville Quarterback Club on April 9, just two days before the Orange & Blue Debut.
And three days after the spring game, McElwain speaks again not far from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, this time to the Titletown Gator Club on April 14.
Those are the first two stops for McElwain as he makes his way across the state and into Georgia to speak to fans. In addition, Gators men's basketball coach Billy Donovan has two speaking engagements scheduled in August.
The speaking tour features nine appearances by McElwain, two by Donovan, and four by McElwain's assistant coaches.
The speaking tour is a collaborative effort by the UF Alumni Association, Gator Boosters, and the University Athletic Association to give Gator fans an opportunity to hear the coaches speak in person and to ask questions afterward.
McElwain was hired as the 25th head coach in school history in December after three seasons as head coach at Colorado State. The Gators open the 2015 season at home against New Mexico State on Sept. 5.
Donovan is in his 19th season and became the second-youngest coach in Division I history to win 500 career games when the Gators defeated Tennessee on Feb. 28.
