
Florida Caps Two-Match SEC Weekend with Alabama

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators look to complete a perfect weekend at home when they host their next Southeastern Conference opponent, No. 66 Alabama, on Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
Florida leads the all-time series with Alabama, 35-20.
The Orange and Blue are coming off a 4-1 win over No. 42 Mississippi State. Florida clinched the doubles point for the first time since Feb. 28 and picked up singles wins on Courts 1, 3 and 5.
Last Time:
Last season, the Gators shut out the Crimson Tide, 4-0. Elliott Orkin and Gordon Watson clinched the doubles point, while Maxx Lipman picked up a singles win for UF.
Fast Start for the Freshman:
Freshman Chase Perez-Blanco has posted a singles point for the Gators in five of his last six outings. He is undefeated in conference singles and is tied with Diego Hidalgo for the best dual match singles record on the team (8-1).
PROMOTIONS:
Junior Announcer of the Match – One lucky kid will get the chance to announce the singles line-ups for the Gators and receive a free Florida Tennis t-shirt.
Youth Day – Kids are invited to stand on the court with the team during the National Anthem. There will be face painting, photo opportunities with Albert and more.
Mini Gator Giveaway – The first 150 kids (12 & under) in attendance will receive a free mini stuffed Gator.
Selfie Sunday – Snap a selfie at the match and tweet it with the hashtag #GameSetMatchUF for a chance to win a Florida Tennis prize pack.
