Gators to Play Auburn in SEC Tournament First Round

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Florida earned the No. 12 seed and will play No. 13 Auburn in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament that will be held at Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The Gators and Tigers play the first game of the five-day event on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT).
Florida vs. Auburn:
· This Year: Florida defeated Auburn, 63-50, on January 4 in Auburn, Alabama.
· Overall: The Tigers lead the all-time series against the Gators, 32-20.
· SEC Tournament: Auburn holds a 7-2 record vs. the Gators at the SEC Tournament, with the last postseason contest on March 1, 2012 when the Gators won the 70-60 decision in Duluth, Georgia.

SEC Tournament Tiebreakers Used for Final Seeding:
· USC/UT at 15-1: South Carolina defeated Tennessee head-to-head for the #1 seed
· UK/LSU/TAMU at 10-6: In play amongst themselves, UK (0-2), LSU (2-1), TAMU (2-1) – once you move UK to #6 seed; head-to-head LSU and TAMU split, 1-1. Moving down seeds the tiebreaker happens against #3 seed Mississippi State, in which LSU (#4 seed) defeated MSU and TAMU(#5 seed) lost to MSU.
· MO/UM at 7-9: Missouri defeated Ole Miss head-to-head for the #7 seed
· AR/UG at 6-10: Arkansas defeated Georgia head-to-head
· UF/VU at 5-11: Head-to-head Florida and Vanderbilt split (1-1). Moving down seeds the tiebreak happens against #3 seed Mississippi State, in which Vanderbilt is 1-1 (#11 seed) and Florida is 0-1 (#12 seed)
