
Florida Alum Matt Every Claims Second-Straight Arnold Palmer Invitational Title

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Former Gator Matt Every fired a round of 6-under 66 and birdied his final hole at Bay Hill Sunday to become the Arnold Palmer Invitational champion for the second straight year.
Every carded rounds of 68-66-69-66 and totaled 25 birdies to finish the event -19 (269). He edged out Henrik Stenson, who led entering the final round, by one stroke and Matt Jones by two strokes.
A year ago, Every recorded a 13-under 275 at Bay Hill to win the 2014 Arnold Palmer Invitational. It marked his first PGA TOUR victory.

Every donned Orange and Blue to compete for the Gators from 2002-06. While at Florida, Every won four individual tournament titles, was named a PING First-Team All-American three times, finished as runner-up at the 2004 SEC Championships and became the first golfer in school history to win the Ben Hogan Award. He was a member of the 2003 SEC Championship squad.
