
Tomlinson Honored as SEC Freshman Golfer of the Week

Freshman Taylor Tomlinson of the No. 25 University of Florida women's golf team was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week on Wednesday, March 25 by the conference office.
Tomlinson finished in the top-25, for the fifth time this season, at the Briar's Creek Invitational using a collegiate-best 54-hole score of 219 to tie for 12th. The freshman recorded a collegiate-low round of 70 in Round 3 of the tournament, to help lead the Gators to the team title.
The Gainesville, Fla. native, has competed in the Gators' lineup in every tournament this season, and is averaging 74.7 strokes per round.
Up Next for the Gators: The Orange and Blue will travel to Greensboro, N.C., on April 3-5 to compete at the Bryan National Collegiate hosted by UNC Greensboro.
