
NCAA Championships: Day Three Prelim Results

IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Florida men's swimming & diving team competed in the final day of prelims at the NCAA Championships in the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium in Iowa City, Iowa.
UF enters tonight's finals in fourth place with 205 team points.
Today's prelims featured five time trial races and the platform dive. In the pool, the Gators qualified six individuals and one relay for tonight's finals. In addition, a quartet of Gators (Ben Lawless, Carlos Omana, Mitch D'Arrigo and Arthur Frayler) will be competing in a timed final of the 1,650-yard freestyle. Those races begin at 4:45 p.m. and will lead into tonight's finals.
Check tonight's finals recap to see how Zach Hernandez performed on the platform dive during prelims and potentially finals. The redshirt junior is competing at the NCAA Championships for the first time in his career.
Tonight's finals, which begin at 8 p.m. ET, will feature the same events that were swam during prelims along with one timed final heat of the mile. Fans can watch the finals here.
The top eight times (places 1-8) in each preliminary race, including relays, advanced to the finals and will earn NCAA All-America honors. The next eight times (places 9-16) will swim in the 'B' final and earn NCAA All-America honorable mention. The top 16 finishers will score points for their team.

Eduardo Solaeche-Gomez: 200 Breast - 1:52.67 – B-Final – 1st in UF history
Dan Wallace: 200 Fly - 1:42.48 – B-Final – 5th in UF history
Dressel, Main, Alexiou, Wallace: 400 Free Relay - 2:52.39 – B-Final
