
Challenging Week for No. 5 Gators Begins with Home Game Against No. 6 Syracuse

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After easily defeating five of its last six opponents, the No. 5 Florida Gators (6-1) will face a tougher test in No. 6 Syracuse (5-2) when the perennial national power visits Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
In what has become one of the nation's premier seasonal matchups, Syracuse leads the all-time series, 4-2. This will be the first time Syracuse has visited Gainesville since March 3, 2012. Playing in front of their home crowd, the Gators are 1-1 all-time against the Orange.

The other two schools to accomplish the feat are Delaware and Louisville. In addition, the trio has combined for 54 goals which is the most of any trio of teammates in the country
- Florida ranks No. 5 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Poll and No. 6 in the Media Poll
- Florida will play another perennial national power on Saturday (March 14) when the team travels to College Park, Maryland, to face the defending national champion and No.1-ranked Terps
