GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators lacrosse team ranks No. 13 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaching Association (IWLCA) Poll and No. 11 in the Media Poll, as announced by both outlets on Monday.
In the IWLCA Poll, the Gators dropped five spots and in the Media Poll the team slid three spots.
Florida (12-5, 6-1) clinched the regular season BIG EAST championship last Wednesday after defeating Cincinnati, but then lost in the regular-season finale at UConn.
The Gators have locked up the No. 1 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament and will play either Villanova or Vanderbilt. Final seeding for the four-team conference tournament will be finalized following the conclusion of the regular season this Saturday.
The BIG EAST Tournament will begin on Thursday, April 30, and conclude on Saturday, May 2, in Storrs, Connecticut.
