GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University Athletic Association and ACCENT Speakers Bureau at the University of Florida have partnered for an upcoming student-only event with Florida Gators Director of Athletics Jeremy Foley on April 7.
The forum will include a keynote address followed by an audience question-and-answer session. Foley's presentation will begin at 6 p.m. in the Evans G. Champions Club at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Doors open at 5 p.m.
ACCENT & The Florida Gators Present: UF Athletics Forum with Jeremy Foley will give University of Florida students the unique opportunity to interact with Foley, in addition to other athletic administrators, and share their thoughts and suggestions regarding the student experience at Florida football games and other athletic events.
Foley was named Florida's Director of Athletics in March of 1992. He has handled virtually every aspect of the University of Florida's athletic program during his athletic administrative career, which began with an internship in the Gator Ticket Office in 1976. Currently, he is the second-longest tenured athletic director among Power Five schools.
He is the only athletic director in Division I history to supervise a program that has won multiple national titles in football (1996, 2006, 2008) and men's basketball (2006, 2007). Overall, 24 Gator teams have been crowned national champions under his watch, the second highest total in the nation among sitting Athletic Directors.
The event is free and open to University of Florida students with a valid Gator 1 ID. Tickets are not required; seating will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
