
Seven Gators Trying Out for U.S. National Team

BALTIMORE, Md. – US Lacrosse announced on Tuesday the 108-player tryout pool for the 2015-16 U.S. Women's National Team and seven Gators made the list.
Rising juniors Taylor Bresnahan, Sammi Burgess, Caroline Fitzgerald and Mollie Stevens made the cut along with recent graduates Shannon Gilroy and Nora Barry and assistant coach Michele Tumolo. The group will head to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, from June 12-14 to try out for the team.
After the three-day tryout, approximately 36-40 players will be selected to the 2015-16 U.S. Women's National Team, which will train in the lead-up to the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Women's World Cup in Guildford, England. Ultimately, 18 players will represent the U.S. as the team goes for a third consecutive and eighth overall world title.
