
Gator Baseball Earns No. 4 National Seed, Hosts Florida A&M On Friday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida baseball team learned on Monday afternoon that it was awarded the No. 4 national seed for the 2015 NCAA Baseball Tournament that begins on Friday at McKethan Stadium. The Orange and Blue captured the SEC Tournament Championship on Sunday night by downing Vanderbilt.
Making their 31st Regional appearance and school-record eighth in a row under head coach Kevin O'Sullivan, the top-seeded Gators (44-16) will face fourth-seeded Florida A&M (23-23) at 7 p.m. Second-seeded Florida Atlantic (40-17) will meet third-seeded USF (33-24-1) earlier in the day at 1 p.m. This marks the sixth time under O'Sullivan that UF has been a national seed (No. 8 in 2009, No. 3 in 2010, No. 2 in 2011, No. 1 in 2012, No. 2 in 2014) – the highest amount in the country in that time frame.
The Regional continues through Sunday, with a final game to be played Monday night, if necessary. The Gainesville Regional winner will face the winner of the Tallahassee Regional in a Super Regional series next weekend. The eight Super Regional winners advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
UF is 85-64 (.570) all-time in NCAA Tournament action and has reached the CWS eight times: 1988, 1991, 1996, 1998, 2005, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

The national top eight seeds are UCLA (42-14), LSU (48-10), Louisville (43-16), Florida (44-16), Miami (Florida) (44-14), Illinois (47-8-1), TCU (43-11) and Missouri State (45-10).
The ACC and SEC lead all conferences in the number of teams in the championship field with seven. The Pac-12 has six institutions, while the Big 10 had a league-record five selected.
Each of the 16 Regionals features four teams, playing a double-elimination format. The Regionals are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, May 29, to Monday, June 1 (if necessary).Selection of the eight Super Regional Hosts will be announced on NCAA.com/cws, Monday, June 1 at approximately 11 p.m. (ET).
The 69th Men's College World Series begins play Saturday, June 13, at the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Omaha, Neb.

Re-Claim Deadline Information
Current baseball season-ticket holders will have until Tuesday, May 26, at 5 p.m. to re-claim their current season seats for the Regional tournament. For current season-ticket holders to claim their seats for the tournament, visit www.GatorZone.com/tickets and click on “Manage My Account.” Use your account ID and password to log in. If you do not know your password, click on the “Forgot Password” button and it will be sent to the e-mail address on file. Once in the account, select “View/Pay 2015 NCAA Baseball Regional Invoice” and follow the steps through the checkout process.
Beginning Wednesday, May 27, at 8:30 a.m., all fans can order tickets using the following methods:
- Order online at www.GatorZone.com/tickets, starting Wednesday, May 27, at 8:30 a.m.
- Order by calling one of the Ticket Office Specialists at (352) 375-4683, option 2, or toll free (800) 344-2867, option 2, Wednesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Order by visiting the Gator Ticket Office, located at Gate 1 of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Wednesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Single-game tickets for the NCAA Gainesville Regional will be sold beginning on Thursday, May 28, at 8:30 a.m., and the first 250 University of Florida students will be admitted free to each game.
