
Nora Barry and Shannon Gilroy Selected to IWLCA North-South Senior Game

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida's Nora Barry and Shannon Gilroy are two of the 44 seniors who have been selected to play in the 2015 IWLCA North-South Senior Game held at Cabrini College, in Radnor, Pa., on Saturday, June 6, 2015.
The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) honored seniors from around the country competing in NCAA Division I, II and III.
Game times are: Division I - 11:30am, Division II - 12:45pm and Division III - 2:00pm.
Barry and Gilroy will compete for the Division I South Team that will be coached by James Madison University's Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe.

· “I am extremely proud of Nora and Shannon's selection to the North-South All-Star game. They both had fantastic seasons and great careers and their placement on the team is something they have earned. It is such an honor to be selected to play in this game and represent not only the University of Florida but a very strong South region.”
A Little About Barry:
· Graduated in May with honors with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and carried a 3.98 GPA throughout her four years at Florida
· 2015 Capital One Academic All-District® At-Large Team
· In 2015, the Marcellus, New York, native led Florida to BIG EAST regular-season and tournament titles and a spot in the NCAA Tournament
· named All-BIG EAST First Team
· finished fourth on the team in goals (29), tied for sixth in points (35) and third in draw controls (34)
· in 2015 she became the fifth Gator in program history to score 100 career goals
· UF's nominee for the prestigious McWhorter Award.
· will be one of 108 athletes trying out for the U.S. Women's National Lacrosse Team at the end of June
· In the fall, she is scheduled to begin her MBA at New York University
