GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida men's golf team's quest to qualify for the NCAA Championship will go through the Chapel Hill, N.C., Regional, the NCAA announced Monday morning.
Florida was chosen as a No. 7 seed in the North Carolina Regional, which will be played at the University of North Carolina Finley Golf Course. Hosted by the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, the tournament will be held May 14-16.
The North Carolina Regional is one of six 54-hole regional tournaments that will be held across the country. Three regionals consist of 13 teams and 10 individuals, while the other three include 14 teams and five individuals.
In each NCAA Regional, the low five teams and the low individual from a non-advancing team will advance to the NCAA Championship tournament, which will be played May 29-June 3 at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla.

Head Coach JC Deacon
“I'm very excited. It's nice being close to home and being able to play on some similar grass that we play on down here in Florida and that we're very used to. I think our team's peaking, and it's at the right time of year. All seven of us are extremely excited about the opportunity.”
