
Gators Open NCAA Tournament Against Stanford on Friday

Chapel Hill, N.C. – The Florida Gators (15-4) take on the Stanford Cardinal (15-2) in the first round of the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 8.
Florida, who appears in the NCAA's for a fifth-straight season, meets Stanford for the second time in program history. The previous meeting between the two schools came during the 2011 NCAA Tournament when the Gators bested the Cardinal, 13-11, in the first round in Gainesville.
The winner of Friday's first round will meet No. 2 North Carolina in the second round on Sunday, May 10, at 1 p.m.
Last weekend, UF punched its ticket to the playoffs by winning the BIG EAST Tournament and outscoring its opponents by a tournament-record 24 points.
